Wood carved chest with mother-of-pearl inlay dating to early 1900s Mindanao sits in a newer custom made wood stand. The intricate design involves inserting pieces of mollusk shells in the tradition of Baul Maranao. With a hinged lid and metal handles, the interior features a small interior covered compartment. Age and patina gives this a unique presence in any space.
