Draped in the Neoclassical tradition and suggestive of Bacchus and the pleasures of the vineyard, the figure has developed an appealing surface patina with subtle mossy coloration that gives it the character of a piece long established in a garden.

At nearly 30 inches tall, the statue has enough presence to become a genuine architectural element in the landscape without overwhelming its surroundings. Place it among clipped boxwoods, beside an old brick or gravel path, within a conservatory, or on a terrace surrounded by terracotta pots. It would also be particularly handsome indoors in a garden room or sunroom, where the weathered concrete provides an interesting counterpoint to polished furniture and textiles.
