Vase by Fernand Elchinger (1911-1975). Ferdinand Elchinger, son of the Elchinger Céramistes dynasty, which had been producing ceramics in Souffleheim, Alsace, since 1834. Inspired by Art Deco and Bauhaus, Fernand Elchinger developed the modern and abstract forms of his ceramic vessels over the years, transforming them from the Elchinger Céramistes' original purely functional objects into works of art in tune with his time.
Signature "Elchinger France" on the bottom of the vase base (see images).
Dimensions of the vase: Height 25.5 cm, diameter 24.5 cm. This piece has an attribution mark,
