These vintage armchairs, handcrafted in Hungary during the 1970s, are exemplary pieces of mid-century Hungarian design. Produced by the Magyar Iparművészeti Vállalat (Hungarian Applied Arts Company), they feature solid black walnut frames and richly patinated leather elements made by the renowned Pécsi Bőrgyár (Pécs Leather Factory).
The chairs combine clean, geometric lines with the warmth of natural materials. The saddle-stitched leather seats and backs—some adorned with traditional embossed patterns—add a unique artisanal character, highlighting the craftsmanship typical of the era. Their design reflects both functionality and refined style, characteristic of postwar Central European applied arts.
Fully handmade and in excellent vintage condition, these chairs are not only functional but also collectible, offering both comfort and cultural value. Ideal for interiors that appreciate heritage, authenticity, and timeless design.
