Richard Hricko has exhibited internationally in museums, galleries and juried competitions, including the National Academy Museum in New York, Glynn … Read more Richard Hricko has exhibited internationally in museums, galleries and juried competitions, including the National Academy Museum in New York, Glynn Vivian Art Museum in Wales, and Garton and Cooke Gallery in London. His work is represented in many public and private collections, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Woodmere Art Museum, and the Delaware Art Museum. He is the recipient of a West Virginia Arts and Humanities Council Artist-in Residence Grant, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship, National Endowment for the Arts/Mid-Atlantic Regional Fellowship, and several Temple University research grants. He is Professor and Program Head of Printmaking at Tyler School of Art of Temple University. He holds a BFA degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Art and Design and a MFA degree from Tyler School of Art.Richard Hricko’s works in Copperplate Photogravure, Woodcut, Monoprint, Relief Prints, Lithograph Prints, Intaglio Prints. Philadelphia artist, Tyler School of Art Professor, and Crane Arts President, He presents composite scenes and surfaces that honor nature, industry and the course of growth and decay. Exhibited both nationally and internationally, Richard has displayed work in museums and galleries such as the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in New York, Tanks Art Centre in Australia, PH21 Gallery in Budapest, Hungary, and the National Academy Museum in New York. Over the last year he has had two solo shows, “Growth and Survival” at Art at Wharepuke Gallery in Kerikeri New Zealand and “Urban Growth” at C.R. Ettinger Gallery in Philadelphia, PA. These shows were comprised of his latest body of work, which explores how industry and nature coexist in the urban environment in mysterious and beautiful ways. Richard holds a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology School of Art and Design and an MFA from Tyler School of Art. He lives and works in Philadelphia, PA, where he maintains a studio at the Crane Arts building, which he also co-founded, and teaches at Tyler School of Art at Temple University as a Professor and the Program Head of the Printmaking Department.
