The carefully stripped finish reveals the softly aged natural wood and brings remarkable clarity to its carving, moldings and gently concave form.
A broad molded top crowns the case, followed by a full width drawer enriched with scrolling foliage and a decorative cast brass keyguard. The beautifully framed cabinet doors are carved with shells, flowers and foliate motifs inspired by the ornamental traditions of the Louis XIV era.
Carved corner posts lead the eye toward the shaped apron and distinctive cloven hoof feet, creating a fluid and beautifully composed silhouette. Cast brass keyguards and barrel hinges add warmth to the pale oak, and the paired doors meet without a center stile to provide unobstructed access to the generous interior.
