This is a RARE Mid-Century French vintage advertisement print for lingerie by the iconic Christian Dior. It dates to 1959. It is a rare piece of advertisement art that had limited circulation. It is the 1st time we have this print in all our years of collecting. The image originally appeared in a French magazine of the time. It is NOT a recent reproduction print. It features a woman's corset and bra by Dior. It is signed and illustrated by Rene Gruau with his signature initial. Gruau is a highly collectible French illustrator, recognized internationally for his highly stylized fashion illustration and advertising art. This print is a prime example of the French propensity for style and flair in mid-century advertising art.
