Circa 1795 Sheraton design set of 8 dining chairs, English. Mahogany. Of the highest quality with graceful turned, tapered legs, reeded stiles, reeded framing of crest rails & of the elegant carved medial back rails with acanthus carved oval. The arm chairs utilize the reeding down the entire graceful form, ending at the vasiform arm supports. Remarkable color & apparently original finish. Found in recently recovered upholstery. Crest rail of one arm chair broken & restored.
