The box … Read more A rare piece of early 20th Century fairground/carnival shooting target box with 7 human figures to knock down. The box is constructed of thick wood with metal front, back. The figures are also metal. The remnant of green paint adorn the figures, with a bright firetruck red for the sides and back portion. The front gallery curtain is in an antique white. And the whole front and back are full of pellet marks. A lot of people had fun with this folky piece of history.

The unit is in all its original formation; and we believe it to have come out of the UK or somewhere in Europe.

All 7 figures move, but the lever to bring them back up is currently not functioning—it's on the inside right side of the box. We like to leave things as found, though with some expert tinkering you can probably make it work.

The box can sit on a table top, or hung on the wall as originally intended. It's great decor on a wall, shelf, or mantel. And great for a man cave, a child's room, or in a retail setting.
