This is a wonderful example of … Read more Lovely brown and white floral transferware pattern from Victorian ironstone maker DB & Co. This is a wonderful example of Aesthetic Movement Serving Dishes. Measures 12" handle to handle, and 9.5" square at the bowl. Measures 3.5" high without the lid and the lid is an additional 3" high.

Marked on the bottom "Ocadero / DB & Co / Rd No. 137190

In Good antique condition as pictured with some patination on the surface, one mark inside the bowl, no chips noted.

Dunn, Bennett & Co. was a manufacturer of earthenware and ironstone at a number of sites, originally in Hanley and then, from 1886, in Burslem, Staffordshire. Established in 1876 by William Dunn and his son-in-law William Wood-Bennett. Dunn, Bennett & Co. manufactured earthenware and ironstone for both the home and American markets. Around 1908 it was incorporated as a limited company.. See less
