A rare and distinctive Capodimonte porcelain decorative bowl, finely hand-painted with a continuous bacchanalian scene of nude figures reveling beneath trees. The molded, irregular form simulates a woodland grove, with sculpted tree trunks and an undulating rim. A dotted enamel border with gilding rings the base.
The scene, likely inspired by Bacchic or mythological themes, is executed in soft polychrome enamels with whimsical detail and naïve charm. The base bears the classic Capodimonte crowned “N” mark in underglaze blue, confirming its origin with one of the established Capodimonte workshops operating in Naples during the late 18th to early 19th century.
