All … Read more Offered is a six stack, quarter sawn oak sectional barrister bookcase. All sections have an interior height of 11”. All are 34” in width. The bookcase includes a base, six boxes, and a top. The boxes may be put together in any order you want. They are all made of quarter sawn oak construction. The labels inside each section show a grade number of 298 1/2. This was Globe-Wernicke’s code for a bookcase made of quarter sawed figured oak with a dead antique finish and dull brush-finished brass hardware. The square top and base indicate that this bookcase was most like from the 1920’s or 30’s. These bookcases are perfect today for storing collectibles or any other thing you want to display but keep protected from dust. They fit well into decor ranging from Art & Crafts to mid century modern and contemporary furniture. All of the glass panes have a slightly wavey look when viewed from the side indicating that they are most likely original glass. As with any furniture of this age the sections show signs of wear. They have some surface dings and some small veneer repairs which are shown in the pictures. The circles in a few of the pictures are not on the furniture but are a sunlight artifact of the fotos.
