The Stars and the Stripes, a fabulous hardcover vintage book of "The American Flag as Art and as History from the Birth of the Republic to Present." Author: Alfred Knopf, Random House Publisher, NY, 1973. This unique book with 245 pages of color photographs of historic American flags and descriptive text was found in a used book store in Alaska (our 49th State). There is a handwritten dedication on inside page as shown in one of the photos. Book is in very good condition consistent with age and use. No torn or tattered pages.
