Original oil on canvas painting of a street in Chioggia near Venice. Signed Gyde Petersen.
Condition: A few minimal peelings especially along inner edge (by frame) and pinholes. The canvas may benefit from a slight tightening.
Artist: Hans Gyde Petersen was a Danish sculptor and landscape painter. He developed a style influenced by both the French Impressionists of the late 19th Century and the Skagen painters of Denmark (b. Vester Aast, Lindeballe 1862, d. Gentofte 1943).
Typical age related nicks, scratches, separation at corners, abrasions to frame. Upper right corner has minor chink/loss.

Sold in original vintage condition.
