An unusual set of 6 Chinese export Batavia Ware tea cups. Each with blue and white interiors showing what I think are koi fish, and a rich brown glaze on the outside. Batavia wares have a typical style of decoration in which large parts of the object are glazed with an underglaze brown color. This decoration is also known as "Capuchin ware" or "Cafe au lait".
Each are slightly different and vary in size.
Largest measures 2 1/2" tall x 4 1/2"
Smallest measures 2 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Each measures 2" tall x 2 7/8"
Excellent condition, one has a flea bite chip under the lip of the rim, no other chips, cracks, or repairs. Light wear to glaze.
