A 3 stick contemporary electric version of the original French Bouillotte table lamp with smokey brass tôle lamp shade and round dish shaped base. Like its inspiration it is both functional as well as handsome in its design. It's perfectly balanced between mid-century modern simplicity and Hollywood Regency glamour..
The lamp takes its name from a popular French card game called "Bouillotte," for which special tables and lamps were created. The lamps are often made of brass or gilded bronze, and the shade is typically made from lacquered metal, known as tôle. Similar lamps, such as a Maison Baguès or Maison Charles bronze brass Bouillotte French table lamp from 1950 precede this version from which it takes their cue.
The unmarked lamp is presumed to be manufactured in the United States circa 1990s and has a 3 way switch feature making it both ambient adn bright enough to illuminate a card game if so desired.
