These beautiful Silver plated candlestick holders appear to be very old.
The bases have rusted a bit, while the silver has been polished so many times that you can see a little copper coming through the edges.
This creates a beautiful effect, and while they could be re-plated, the age that shapes on them is beautiful by itself.
A wonderful piece of history, with a little tarnish included.
They appear to be unmarked, but may betray additional details below the plates, if removed.
I believe these would have from Germany in origin, but may have been made in England, based on the other pieces in the Francis Levinson Whitfield Estate.
