Signed early 20th century oil painting on canvas by UK artist Joel Owen (active 1892-1931). This idyllic scene depicts a mother and her children gazing at the water landscape before sunset with ducks by a small lakeside cottage. The location is assumed to be a watermill around the River Severn near Kingswood.
The canvas itself is in excellent condition. The gilded gold frame has some wear (consistent with age and use), which only adds to its artistic charm and allure.
Frame overall is 32" L x 20" H. Art is 24" L 12" H.
