A heavy pair of Antique gilt bronze fireplace Andiron bookends.
Empire style with a drapery design and pineapple crowns.
The pineapple crowns or finials can be unscrewed.
Total weight of the pair is 7 Lbs
Measurements:
8"T x 5"D x 6" W
In very good antique used condition.
There is some very slight wear on the bronze gilt. SEE PHOTOS!
The plate that the Andiron Bookend is attached to shows the most wear, there are some dots of rust and pitting.
Original Green felt is on the bottom.
These would be elegant on a bookcase, desk or lamp table.
Their design allows them to be flexible in reference to their surroundings - they can be very elegant or very masculine.
