Beautiful, uncommon metal desk by Maquet, from the 1950s/60s.
Maquet furniture was generally used by doctors and other professionals in the medical field.This desk remains in its original condition, still bearing the original cream-colored lacquer, which naturally shows signs of use.
The desk comes complete with the chair shown in the photos.
Maquet is a brand originally from Germany. The company was founded in 1838 in Heidelberg and is best known as a manufacturer of medical equipment and hospital furnishings.
While Maquet is primarily recognized for surgical tables, hospital beds, and other medical furnishings, during the 1950s and 1960s, they also produced metal desks and cabinets, often intended for use in medical and laboratory environments.
