mari simmulson (1911-2000) designed many classics for the swedish company upsala-ekeby in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most famous series is rusticana from 1963. It consists of six earthenware bowls, jars and vases. They have a slightly bulging shape, rough surface and linear relief. The objects are deeply stamped on the underside with ue, model number and maris mark (ms or maris). The series was produced until 1965 (only in production for less than two years)

this one is model 4595, with a height of 19 cm, a diameter of 9 cm and it weighs 540 grams.
