This high quality studio ceramic art jug was handcrafted by Hartwig Heyne in Germany during the 1960s. The beautiful piece is glazed in warm reddish brown to orange tones.
The renowned potter's workshop was already founded 1850 in Silesia and was closed in 2005 in Germany.
The pottery was known to collectors for many years as 'Hoy' pottery, as the incised mark on the bottom signature 'Hey' was wrongly interpreted as 'Hoy'. This piece has an attribution mark,
