A beautiful, rare, Italian Murano art glass bowl, Midcentury Modern design period, by designer Flavio Poli, for glassmaking company Seguso … Read more A beautiful, rare, Italian Murano art glass bowl, Midcentury Modern design period, by designer Flavio Poli, for glassmaking company Seguso Vetri d’Arte, circa mid-20th century, Italy. Murano art glass is golden yellow and emerald green hues. Poli’s designs are characterized by bold shapes and vibrant colors as shown here. Poli achieved this by what is known as the 'Sommerso' technique, where colors (golden yellow and emerald-green) are layered and encased onto one another providing a captivating design of color (and shape.) A beautiful, collectable, designer bowl of the Italian midcentury modern design period. Part of the label on bottom reads, 'Made in Italy', 'Murano', as shown in last image. Very good condition as shown in images and video with no chips noted. A perfect piece for a cocktail table, vanity, desk, etc. See less
