Standing on double lotus throne with the main pair of hands held in the gesture of respectful salutation, "Anjali Mudra", under nine heads of the Avalokitesvara arranged in three tiers, decreasing in size from the main, each head wearing a diadem, below a stack of two versions of Amitabha, modeled with fifteen pairs of arms, hands holding ritual objects including a lotus, a mala pearl, ceremonial dagger, ambrosia vase, and Wheel of Law, three pairs of the arms raised to the sides and one held in front of the body. Multiple armed and headed Avalokitesava is believed to be the most powerful in clearing one's paths to bring success and harmony. A very fine sculpture and beautiful statue. See less
