She has been influenced by the art of the Fauves, a French movement of artists who loved color and seeing nature from a perspective of color and harmony in nature. The painting is wired and ready to hang. Several of the paintings show the art in a room setting. Signed "Holden" lower right corner. Martha Holden attended Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and worked in France for 20 years. Her art is in collections both private and public worldwide..
