Armchair in stainless steel and hand-woven wicker, model pk 22 by designer poul kjaerholm for the publisher e. Kold christensen stamped on the structure by an engraving in the steel poul kjaerholm. It's an armchair we particularly like. A benchmark among danish modern and international icons, the pk 22 won the grand prix at the milan triennale in 1957. While other danish designers used teak and rosewood, poul kjærholm proposed steel, leather, marble and wicker. The features of this armchair are extraordinary: a true sculpture. Comfortable and reasonably sized, these armchairs will find a place even in a small space. All in good vintage condition. Recently reworked by a professional wickerworker with old wicker strands to blend in with the original and brushed with the original wicker. Some marks on the steel structure. Very nice patina.
