A unique item that checks off many boxes: Antique; Rare; Unique; Signage; Decorative; Bright; Handmade; Americana: and so on... A stunning 19th Century find. A hand made and painted wooden cupboard/storage box for eggs, with dovetail construction. It is painted a lovely avocado green and sign labeled in black "Fresh 10c Eggs" on the front.

This must have been used in a retail shop; and we believe the 10c was for a whole dozen eggs. The exterior beauty continues into the inside when you slide up the front cover. You do so by the two carved indentation seen in the photo. This carpenter thought of everything, include the raised legs that the box rests on! Now on the inside you find two shelves where the eggs were stored. Its inside simplicity balances the exterior statement.
