A sculptural and refined pair of vintage dining chairs designed by John Hutton for Donghia’s iconic “Block Island Collection.” These chairs embody a coastal organic aesthetic with handwoven rattan in a checkerboard pattern wrapping the entire frame, including the tapered legs and gently curved backs. The seats retain their original black floral tapestry-style upholstery, rich with natural imagery and texture. Sturdy and visually striking, this pair showcases Hutton’s signature blend of natural materials and architectural form—perfect for beach homes, garden rooms, or eclectic interiors. Unmarked.
