Antique French Renaissance solid wood jardiniere with ornate carved details including lions heads and cabriole legs with lion's paw feet. The extraordinary patina on the finely carved features and walnut grain are beyond anything I have come across. Metal plant insert/liner is removable. Research on this piece indicates it may have originally had a glass top and served as a table with the metal liner being custom made and added later. A stunning piece in either application.
