This Antique Persian Melayer Runner was hand woven in Iran's Hamadan region. After being distressed and refinished in the U.S., it measures 3'4" x 12'10". Persian rugs are an integral part of Iranian art and culture, with a history dating back to the Bronze Age. The oldest known Persian rugs can be traced back to the Safavid dynasty of the 16th century.
