The table is a genuine trestle table from northern Sweden made around 1820. The table has a large solid table top on a leg frame with bevelled trestles. The bevelled, gently curved trestles indicate that the table was made for and placed in a wealthy household that could afford to add extras to their furniture. Made by hand in solid pine which has never been painted, giving the pine a soft lustre and patina after 200 years of use. The table would work well as a dining table for four to six people. Or as a large desk and work table. Good condition with minor traces and marks of use. The table top is painted on the underside. See less
