The bowl and plate were made by Wedgwood for Marshall Field & Company, Chicago. It dates to the late 1800's and per the hand written tag on the bottom - was an engagement gift in 1916.
NOTE: The plate is surprisingly heavy - 1.4 pounds and the bowl is about 1 pound.
