Heritage Turkish Kilim, meticulously handwoven with wool on wool foundation in Turkey's distinguished Oushak territory. Dimensions: 3'6" x 4'4". Kilims represent a distinctive category of flat-woven textiles characterized by their absence of pile. Their construction involves the precise interlacing of warp and weft elements, typically on horizontal looms, resulting in sharply defined geometric compositions. These textiles exhibit remarkable versatility due to their lightweight character and supple hand, historically serving multiple functions beyond floor coverings—including upholstery applications, drapery, cushion fabrication, tabletop protection, wall decoration, and thermal insulation against severe environmental conditions.
