This charming vintage vase dates from the West German era of the 1960s or 1970s and impresses with its striking combination of brown-black glaze with a bright red flowing glaze element in the belly area. Ruscha Keramik was initially founded in 1905 by Georg Schardt in Rheinbach under the name Klein & Schardt. When his son Rudolf Schardt took over in 1948, the company was renamed Ruscha and continued production until 1996.
