The subject of this piece gives us a very Russian Romanov feel. A man stands in the middle and holds a tall walking stick. He wears a yellow headpiece, and traditional costume. He sports a bear with mustache in red. His shirt is purple with gold buttons, and his overcoat or vest is in a light yellow. He stands upon a hazy moody orange and black background.
About the artist:
This piece is by the late Oklahoma artist and retired Air Force man Clair Seglem. Seglem painted into his 1990s before passing at his Oklahoma residence. He was known for his striking portraits and still life paintings.
