Vase by Robert and Jean Cloutier, twin brothers of French ceramics with a rich and dreamlike universe.
Diabolo-shaped with a flared neck, it is made of ceramic glazed in shades of cloudy brown on the exterior. The interior is covered with a thin layer of white slip, subtly revealing the underlying red clay—a delicate finish characteristic of the Cloutiers.
Signed under the piece Cloutier France.
Provenance: Artists' studio.
A certificate of authenticity from the widows of the Cloutier Brothers will be provided to the purchaser. This piece has an attribution mark,
