An exceptional antique Victorian carved armchair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1850-1870 period.
The quality is outstanding, this has to be one of the finest examples we have come across. The solid frame has exquisite carving throughout, including beautifully detailed carved lions heads on the arm rests. It stands on beautifully curved cabriole legs terminating in porcelain casters, this is a great size and it is extremely comfortable. It is upholstered in a gorgeous leather which has a beautiful colour tone and patina.
