This outstanding piece was designed by the mastery of Pietro Chiesa and produced by Fontana Arte in Italy during the 1940s. In amazing condition, with no chips or cracks. The pen holder has a gorgeous base with hand-faceted diamond-cut edges that catch and reflect the light like a jewel. The base is embellished by a small elephant sculpture in bronze, symbolizing wisdom, strength, and good fortune. The stunning original aged green patina on the bronze has not been polished to preserve its charm and historical value. The pen holder element is composed of patinated brass and black Bakelite, supporting the original streamlined metal and Bakelite fountain pen. A highly collectible and unique decorative piece that blends functionality with artistic flair, ideal for display on a vintage executive desk, in a study, or as a thoughtful gift for a design connoisseur.
