The vase is made of … Read more A crystal vase, an example of exceptional artistic glass designed by Czech artist Ivo Rozsypal. The vase is made of layered crystal glass. The inner layer is dyed amber in the mass, the outer layer is colorless, which enhances the impression of three-dimensionality and optical depth. The artist uses his own technique in his works, which, by embedding materials of different transparency and color into the glass mass, creates an amazing visual effect of inclusions reminiscent of natural minerals enclosed inside a glass block.

The vase is characterized by a simple, cubic form. The edges are polished.

On the bottom there is the signature of the Exbor glassworks in Nový Bor, known for the production of high-quality artistic glass and cooperation with outstanding designers.

Ivo Rozsypal (born 1942) is a Czech glass artist, painter and sculptor whose works are appreciated all over the world. His work includes both utilitarian projects and monumental works of art that decorate public spaces. Rozsypal began his career in the 1960s, designing for renowned Czechoslovak glassworks, such as Exbor in Nový Bor. His works from this period are characterized by modern design and high quality of workmanship. Rozsypal's works are present on the auction and antique market and are popular with collectors.
