Striking in scale and rich in detail, this rare French Art Deco armoire embodies the tension and elegance of its era: bold, architectural lines tempered by floral carving and the warmth of solid cherry wood. Made in the 1930s and remarkably preserved, it brings both sculptural presence and lasting utility.

Stylized botanical reliefs bloom across the upper panels and crown, softening the form’s geometric rigor. The cherry has aged into a deep amber tone, its bookmatched grain animated by shifting light and timeworn depth. At center, a beveled mirror is seamlessly inlaid—original to the piece and unusually refined. Its faceted top corners nod to Deco geometry, but it’s the flush integration that distinguishes it. Few mirrors from this period are so deliberately embedded, so harmonized with the surrounding wood.
