Resting upon bracket feet carved in blind fretwork in the Chinese Chippendale taste, the case consists of a drop-front desk over four drawers with dovetailed joinery. The fitted desk includes a central door flanked by fluted pilasters, and pigeon holes over drawers at each side.

The upper cabinet consists of two doors having raised panels and, within, three small drawers below three shelves (two adjustable). A finely detailed hand-carved broken pediment features a classic cornice accented by dentil mouldings and flanking a substantial central urn.

Cast brass hardware by Ball and Ball is an ideal complement; locks function well and two original keys are included.

The mellow mahogany finish and commanding presence make this secretary a true statement piece and timeless addition to any interior. See less
