What is a Directoire style? Neoclassical is another way of framing it. Perhaps it is better to look at a time frame such as 1795 to 1799 in France. There is no monarchy. There are 5 Directoires running the country. Something is going on in England...the Sheraton period. Yet what has this to do with a 1950s elegant walnut stool with curved legs and a round top. Elegance is the
clarity of simplicty when done with grace. It reminded me of the work of Tommi Parzinger and Don Cameron. This stool is apartment ready.
