Made from authentic bamboo, the cabinet features a single door inset with ruched green silk, framed by a bent bamboo lattice design.
The top is finished with a Japonesque lacquered panel, hand-painted with delicate floral and bird motifs – an elegant nod to the 19th century’s fascination with Chinoiserie and Anglo-Japanese design. The sides are inset with embossed panels that add visual depth and texture. The ruched silk panel, which rests on brass rods, offers a soft material contrast and can easily be replaced if a different fabric is preferred – making this piece highly adaptable to a range of interior palettes.
Original cast brass hardware, including a ring pull and escutcheon, completes the piece with refined period details. Compact yet full of presence, it is ideal as a bedside cabinet, occasional table, or decorative accent in English country, cottagecore, or maximalist interiors.
