A 1961 painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This work depicts an abstracted still life with an array of object-like shapes arranged on a tabletop. Signed and dated to the lower right, the painting is displayed in a walnut wood frame and a white mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
