These gorgeous Chinese vintage Foo Dog brass indoor planters have been in my family since 1970’s.
They are a symbol of wealth and success. Chinese culture believes Foo Dogs keep negative energy away.
There is a female dog ( mouth open) and male dog ( mouth closed) with a ring in their mouths.
Dimensions : bottom = 12 inches, height=12.25 inches , outside width 18.25, inside top width=16 inches
There is one seam in each planter. One of the planters you can hardly see it. There is small stamp that says “Hong Kong,” on the bottom.
The design pattern is hammered with small nail heads with a wide brass flat rim at the top. Very beautiful!
