The dimensions of this vintage Center Table (140cm X 140cm) are at the limit to make it a Dinner Table if you can overlook the irregularity of the thickness of the top due to the decoration.
The quadrangular top of the table, made of painted polycarbonate tiles that reproduce ocean floors is in fact crossed by bands of brass and chromed metal that intersect with each other creating a geometric decoration that rises 4mm from the top.
This rare 70s table is not a piece for everyone, it is "loud" and does not go unnoticed.
Difficult to include in an interior design project, it is a showy, luxurious table, probably the first thing a guest would notice inside your home.
It contains all the stylistic elements and materials dear to Romeo Rega, a Roman forging craftsman, author of the famous chariot from the film Ben Hur.
In a single piece, in fact, there is acrylic, brass but also chromed metal, and above all the weaves, the essential and rigorous geometric decoration, typical of this designer.
The table is in good vintage condition, it has been thoroughly cleaned and only the chrome has been polished; while we preferred to leave the brass in patina to avoid the "whitened" effect that erases the age of the piece.
The item shows minimal signs of use and time contemporary with its age. This piece has an attribution mark,
