This set of two small high quality vessels was created by the well-known ceramist Gerhard Liebenthron (1925-2005) who had his own studio in Bremen, Northern Germany.
Liebenthron participated in numerous international exhibitions since 1955. During the 1980s he developed an iconic abstract decor in brown and sand tones that he repeatedly varied and reinterpreted in various ceramic objects of different sizes.
