This high quality ceramic rooster figurine from the famous Rimini Blu series was designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche. It was handcrafted in Italy during the 1950s.
In 1921, Guido Bitossi founded the ceramic manufactory near Florence. This region has a long tradition in the manufacture of ceramics. Pottery has been produced there since the 15th century.
When Aldo Londi joined the company as art director in the early 1950s, Bitossi Ceramiche turned its attention to modern design. Londi himself created over 1000 ceramic designs, with his Rimini Blu series becoming a worldwide success. This piece has an attribution mark,
