Carter's signature style was developed out of an exploration of alternative photographic processes and digital image manipulation. Her European, New Mexican, and Chinese landscapes have been exhibited at top art shows around the country.

Carter's image began as a Polaroid image transfer which imparts a unique texture and a dreamy, old-world feeling. The transfers have then been re-composited, re-combined with the original images and the mood and evocative nature of the images have been further developed.

The paper (Somerset Velvet Fine Art Paper) and inks (Epson K3) allow for intensely saturated, velvety color with clean highlights and increased detail on a sensuous textured surface. All materials are archival for prints that last a lifetime.

Original one-of-a-kind, imaginative and beautifully executed - An image that looks like it's been hand-tinted.
