A stunning vintage sculpted split reed bamboo chair in the style of Betty Cobonque. Betty Cobonque patented a way of bending reeds together in order to maintain continuity and round edges. I’d say this gorgeous piece meets those requirements.
We’ve refreshed the pencil reed and reupholstered the seat cushion in new woven cotton fabric. We replaced the back cushion and added a new bolster in the same fabric. Photos may not translate the colors in fabric. The lines of the pattern are a light gray mauve, with an eggplant shade as the “inner line.”
